So it’s the last few days before I fly out to LA for the opening of the group show at CAVE gallery. It’s great to be showing at CAVE again – they did such a good job with my last show there back in December ’10 (man, time goes sooooo fast).
The show opens March 10th and is on view through April 7th and I’m honoured to be showing alongside John Park and Christopher Cuseo with 6 new paintings.
I’m really excited about the show and the new pieces. I approached it wanting to produce a cohesive body of work and worked through a bunch of stuff in my Moleskine before settling on an idea. Working around a theme of “Threads” I’m really stoked with how they’ve turned out. 3 of the pieces are also a lot larger than I’ve painted previously so I was working a little bit outside of my comfort zone!
And as my Moleskine was such an intrinsic part of the process, I thought it would be cool to mark the show by giving away one of the graphite studies done in preparation for the show. I’ll be announcing details over the next 2 or 3 days, so if you want a chance to get your hands on a unique piece of OG art watch this space, or better still, sign up for updates through my site at www.craww.com
Yay for free stuff!
Here’s a taste of the new work, “Faith”:
My final show of the year!
I’m excited to be showing a selection of new paintings @ George Thornton Art in Nottingham. The show runs 5th – 15th November and as well as the new paintings on paper, will feature some of the work I’ve done on different media over the past year.
Some wood panels, paintings on old drawers and doors and for the first time I’ll be making some original sketches available.
Contact email@example.com for prices and availability
I’ll be there this Saturday for the opening so if you are in Nottingham, come and say hi!

Funeral Party Favourite:
I’m really excited to be showing alongside some amazing artists at London Miles’ Guilty Pleasures and Modern Vices show opening June 23rd to June 27th 2011.
My piece is titled “Vanity” and will also be released as the second of my prints from 1xRun on 24th June. Again, available for just one week!
The first print run, “Somewhere” went really well and they did a great job with the prints and shipping them all out, so I’m really looking forward to the second release. Hopefully it will be equally successful!
Finally, I’ve just got back from mailing “Eli” to G1988 in LA. It will be part of their annual “Crazy for Cult” show later in the summer. In the past they’ve shown some awesome work by a great selection of artists, so I’m really honoured to be included in line up.
So whats up.
I think i’ve been on a bit of a detour of late. I’ve been trying out a few new ideas and techiniques, some have worked a lot haven’t.
There’s been a fair few paintings added to the trash, but it’s all good – i think I’ve got to a point I can come back to what i enjoy doing most and bring something of a new perspective to it (well, in my head it’s a new perspective, quite likely it all looks exactly the same to everyone else!)
I’m working with 1xRun on putting together a timed edition print run of a new piece. Still finalising which one, but very excited to see it happen over the next couple of months.
My painting for the Vices show at London Miles was sent off and framed this week – just in time for the show to be put back. Gah! At least for once I’m all done and ready way in advance of a deadline.
Anyhow, here’s a taster of some of the stuff I’ve been working on. Hope you like.
